I.About the Department:

  1.   The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 2002 with B. Sc (MSCS) .
  2.  B.Com (Computers) was added in the year 2011.
  3.  B.Com (CA) was added in the year 2015.
  4. B. Sc (MPCs) was introduced in the year 2018.
  5. BA (Computer Application) was introduced in the year 2018.
  6. B. Sc (BZCA) was introduced in the year 2018.
  7. B. Sc (Data Science) Was Introduced in the year 2020.
  8. B. Sc (MCSDS) Was Introduced in the year 2021.

II.  About 20 Students in MSCs  in 2002.About 120 Students in MPCs , 35 students in BZCS ,  in the academic year 2019-20, 40 students in Data Science in the academic year 2020-21 and 3 Students  in MCSDS  joined for the Computer science  course in the academic year 2021-22.

III . Now nearly 1200 students are pursuing Computers as one optional in the college 

 2.Vision
         To create the most conducive environment for quality academic and research oriented undergraduate education in computer science and prepare the students To become a centre of excellence in the field of Computer Science that produces innovative, skillful, socially responsible professionals who can contribute significantly to industry and research.

3. Mission
The mission of the Computer Science department is to prepare students to become leaders in the field of  technological, research and development,computer science and computer technology. 

4. Objectives:  

  1. To impart theoretical and practical understanding of the subject
  2. To teach students how to apply the principles of computer science and scientific investigation to solve real-world problems.
  3. To motivate the students to pursue higher education in compute
  4. To conduct curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular
  5. To provide latest technological information to meet the needs of professional and academic goals.
  6. To empower the students with various employability
