About the Department

Date of Establishment – 2018-19

1.Department of Physics established  in the academic year 2018-19 with new courses MPC and MPCS
2. Physics lab was established with   help of Alumni Association of the  college
3. About 120 Students in MPCs and 32 students in MPC joined for the  Physics course in the academic year 2018-19
4. Now nearly 450 students are  pursuing Physics as one optional in   the college
5. About 5 lakh rupees worth new equipment was purchased for the  department of Physics from   Accumulated Special fee fund

Vision                                                                      :

1. To establish a platform for the dissemination and creation of knowledge through teaching and research/Projects  in Physics at various levels. To create a scientific temper among  the students which encourages logical thinking.
2.  We encourage our students to excel not only in the field of science and technology, but also in good citizenship and discipline.
3.  Our commitment lies in producing comprehensive knowledge seekers and humane individuals, capable of building a strong and developed nation.
4. To build a foundation for excellence and encourage the development of the Department as a premier Department  by igniting and promoting enthusiasm, interests and passion, in the study of physics, in professional courses, as a  part of  curriculum to cater the needs of the diverse background of the rural students.
5.  To groom our young students to become professionally and morally sound engineers.

1.To offer state of the art Academic Programmes in Physics and in interdisciplinary areas. 
2.To achieve the vision we should have diligent faculty who use effective teaching methodologies. To impart updated technical education and knowledge.
3. To reach global standards in production and value based living through an honest and scientific approach
4. To awaken the young minds and discover their talents both in theory and in practical Physics, through dedication to teach, commitment towards students and innovative instructional methods like PPT & Visual Aids
5. To support the developmental activities of the College and make the Department  vibrant.
6. To make vital contributions in areas such as faculty, modern labs, and demonstrate a high level of competence in the study of  Physics.
7. To develop strategy in the Department for continuous Improvement.
8. The physics department is committed to impart quality education both in theoretical as well as experimental physics with special emphasis on ‘learning by doing’ for socio-economic growth.
